The Alkaizer run

This is an extract from Diablowiki
The Alkaizer run is a popular farming run in Act Three. The run was popularized by the player who was the first to reach paragon level 100 with a Barbarian named Alkaizer. This run was what he did in game after game, thousands of times on his drive to reach the max level. He did it because it was very efficient, with huge numbers of monsters and lots of boss packs along the way, and this run is considered the most efficient and profitable run fond anywhere in Diablo III.
On the classic Alkaizer Run, a sufficiently-powerful character will clear (most of) five different areas throughout Act Three, racking up huge experience and killing numerous boss packs very rapidly. The run is best done quickly, on a level of Monster Power low enough that your character can blast through with very little slow down.

Item Value Calculator

After a bit of research last night i found a site that can help identify expected auction house values.... expected is a broad description as sometimes the values calculated are a bi steep. BUT, the site does offer some perspective as to the item's inherrent value, which in turn places a clear line on which to base your Auction House price

Click here to see Diablo 3Values.

Another site that i have been using for a while is an auction house price tracker. The site gives a clear view on the item's history and epected values. Mainly for Gems and Legendries. You are also able to track gold/$ prices.

The site is an absolute gem, and i highly recommend to give either a try.

Radiant Star Amethyst

Helm: +18% Life
Weapon: Each Hit Adds +600 Life
Other: +58 Vitality

Magic Find

Magic Find

Finding more and better magic items is critical to overcoming challenges and defeating enemies in Diablo III, particularly on higher difficulties. Magic find is a unique item property that can help you drastically improve your haul. It is tracked in the Inventory menu (Inventory > Details > Adventure).

But what does that really mean?

Toto build

The build is based on the CM wizard build, with only the tweaks on the main skills and the lack of telleport and or frost nova. What we are using is Shock Pulse with Living Lightning, this in conjunction with Critical Mass, gives the easiest way to load up to five consecutive Meteors, and still be able to maintain Diamond Skin.

I find that with the increased attack speed and the use of an almighty shock main, that I am able to run with some semblance of ease through monster level one. I am also running inferno mp 1 with the enchantress.

The build is exclusive for the use of farming, auction house bought items also only serve to allow me to start farm and recover some gold till I hit paragon 50...
Paragon 60 is also my target for January. Soon after witch we might see the new dueling features being unlocked by Blizzard.

Act Three Farming

Earlier today i posted a video showing the infernal machine run... but that might have been a bit to premature.

I think we need to focus first on leveling Paragons, especially Mr Strydom...waay to low at the moment.

Thanks to  ZaFrostPet for the video! He also has a few more farming runs that begs to be explored

Infernal Machine

This is for all my guildie3s...

the Infernal Machine is up for grabs, but here is some research i think we need to absorb first, lol. The team is a bit low on good equipment, but i think after a few hours of farming, we should be able to start assembling the needed experience to get close to a decent drop rate for a set of keys( 3 each).

Hope this helps ... see you in Sanctuary!

Both videos are doing a stellar job at explaining the whole event. Please visit Chris Tubed for more vids.

Using your mobile to play D3

Earlier in the year - basically when D3 was nearing release, the question came up regarding data usage and using a 3G connection to play Diablo 3.

As i am a MWEB user i have had no problems connection via the ADSL service provider. In fact when I attended the MWEB release event i was assured that the ISP went to great pains to ensure baby smooth ping rates for all Blizzard games.

How much data, Data?

As Diablo 3 requires a concurrent connection to their servers for item generation and recording of character advancement, we really cannot afford to have connections dropped, or experience bad lag. On a recent run on D3 total data usage while running around for about an hour resulted in an average data consumption of close to 24MB. This is for 20MB Down, and 4MB up.

Considering that updates needs to be downloaded at install... from 256MB to 80Mb, and remember the install was already something like 6GB, and if you try and download the PTR version of D3, it is again 6/7GB!!
